We've already told you about John Madden's connection to baseball.
Today, it's the coach's unique take on the hardship of coaching.
The moment was born out of some good-natured ribbing with KCBS Radio's Stan Bunger and Susan Leigh Taylor, both of whom were part of John's many, many appearances over the years.
"The longer you coach (and) the more you win, you really don't get the satisfaction out of winning that you used to," Madden said. "The low of losing is so much lower than it ever was because your expectations are so high."
The Madden Family is holding a public memorial in celebration of John's life on Monday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at RingCentral Coliseum in Oakland.

They cost $32.14, the final score of Super Bowl XI when Coach Madden's Raiders beat the Minnesota Vikings to win their first Super Bowl. All proceeds will be directed to Madden Charities for the benefit of the John Madden Foundation to provide educational opportunities for the youth of Oakland.
