FESTIVAL: PIZZA, BAGEL & BEER
San Francisco’s Annual Pizza, Bagel, and Beer Festival returns in the heart of North Beach with “Pizza King” Tony Gemignani this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Come one, come all and enjoy this festive foodie fest.
BOOK SIGNING: LORI RICE AT CULTIVAR
Foodies and book worms take note. You are invited to join the fine folk at Cultivar Ghirardelli Square, this Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Where the wine bar and kitchen will be hosting author, photographer, writer, and nutritional scientist Lori Rice to toast to her new book The California Farm Table Cookbook: 100 Recipes from the Golden State,
Lori's cookbook celebrates all the culinary contributions the state has to offer. Each chapter is devoted to one of the state’s bountiful ingredients and the growers who cultivate them, with enticing recipes that highlight the region’s agricultural diversity. Tickets are $25.
CONCERT: STERN GROVE
Are you ready, Stern Groovers? Multi Grammy winning artist Lucinda Williams takes to the stage for this Sunday’s concert in the Grove at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco at 2 p.m. The opening act is Jobi Riccio who, much like Lucinda, hands you her whole heart with every song. Thrilled to be there Sunday as your SG Emcee.
MUSIC: LADY GAGA & BRUNO MARS
The Lady known as Gaga and the Bruno of Mars have united in a one off song that’s out NOW.
“Die with a smile” is a string-laced ballad harkening back to the shimmering, syrupy passion of '70s pop ballads, think Dolly and Kenny! A heart tugger for sure. The video is really cool and worth the watch.
THEATRE: AS YOU LIKE IT
Per the producers of Cal Shakes: “Because of you, rehearsals will begin, scenes will be blocked, lights will be hung, costumes will be fitted, the set will be moved into place. Our resident raccoons, coyotes, hawks and bats will see more activity backstage”.
