FOODIE PICK: MR.DIGBYS, NOE VALLEY SF
This SF Noe Valley family run restaurant wins on many fronts: friendly & informed service, a warm inviting ambiance and an appealing menu with comfort food galore:

- Chicken pot pie: yummy creamy goodness with a perfect crust top & lashings of chicken & veggies.
- Fish and chips: local rock cod, tartar sauce. A classic done to perfection.
- Meatloaf: caramelized cabbage, onions, mashed potatoes, broccolini. A hug of love in every bite.

The cocktail menu delivers too with a diverse offering of creative crafted cocktails to satisfy every palette. Two of my faves one with gin and the first with mezcal:

- Snake eyes: mezcal, pineapple, citrus blend, spicy tincture, chili salt rim
- Garden gimlet: gin, cucumber, lime, mint, celery

Make a note in your diary for these special events:
Thursday October 19th - Transport your taste buds to Greece at Supper Club Greek Night
Sunday October 29th - Canines & Cocktails Halloween Brunch where you and your pet can both dress up and enjoy delicious treats.

Mr.Digby's is named after owners Kristen & Mike’s Old English sheepdog. Mr.Digby's is the star of the show and though now passed he shows up on the signage, the menu and in photos on the bar.

Yes this Noe spot is of course pet friendly and owners are welcome too!! It’s one of my fave spots to eat in the Noe hood and if you’ll just come and try it out you’ll understand why.

Mr. Digby's Noe Valley hours include: Happy Hour: Tuesday – Sunday 5 P.M. – 6 P.M., Dinner Tuesday – Sunday: 5 P.M. – Close, Brunch: Saturday – Sunday 10:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M., Cocktail Hour: Saturday – Sunday 2:30 P.M. – 5 P.M. Here’s my interview with Kristen & Mike McCaffery:

FUNDRAISER: FOODWISE
The annual Sunday Supper for Foodwise brings our food community together on Sunday October 15th, starting at 6 P.M. The venue, the grand hall at SF Ferry Building. Yours truly serves as emcee and auctioneer. Funds raised plant kids in nature and help them connect with farmers, chefs and community.

MUST STREAM TV: BECKHAM
The six time premiership league winner, Manchester UTD superstar David Beckham spills it all in this new Netflix series Beckham. He speaks candidly about the wins and losses, the highs and lows, his romance and marriage to Posh Spice & more. It’s hard not to love David Beckham, dripping with charm and an air of humility he wins everyone over - now - but there was a time when he was universally hated for a foul that had him ejected from the World Cup and England got the loss instead of the win and Beckham was blamed. It’s compelling and brilliantly produced and is streaming now on Netflix.

HOT TICKET: STING & SF SYMPHONY
Former Police frontman Sting comes to San Francisco for a two night run with SF Symphony. What a way to enjoy Valentines with your sweetie and the guy who brought us:

Roxanne, Every Breath You Take, Fields of Gold & many more. The show will run February 14th and 15th next year and this will sell out quickly so jump on tickets as soon as you can. See you there.

FAIR: NORTHERN CALIFORNIA RENAISSANCE FAIRE
The Northern California Renaissance Faire is where all the fun will be this weekend from 11 A.M. - 6 P.M., it’s all about Carnival & Masquerade. Come one come all and enjoy the spectacle as well as the brews and bites, the games and demonstrations, the arts and the crafts. See you there soon at Casa de Fruta near Gilroy.
