Horn’s melt in your mouth barbecue caught my attention during the pandemic in 2020. While restaurants struggled to stay open, Chef Horn took his food to the people, feeding those in need and the need was great. Food & Wine nominated him Best New Chef in 2021. The Horn Barbecue book, released in 2022, was an instant best seller. Horn Barbecue was nominated for a James Beard Award that same year.
Now Chef Matt Horn serves up his delicious, smoked to perfection barbecue to meat loving masses around Northern California with restaurants in Lafayette, Oakland and Elk Grove.
