Meet Rocco Scordella, Owner Vina Enoteca, Palo Alto. He is the face of this inviting Italian restaurant and bar and does he know his wines.
“We are all about Italian cuisine, good Italian wines and good people,” says Rocco Scordella.

I met with Rocco recently to talk about wines. He picked three of his favorites that would be perfect for those planning to pop a cork or two for the week of love and Valentine’s Day.
Ruinart Blanc de Blanc (Edition 18)
Elegant champagne with citrus and peaches notes. Joy in a glass.
Kante Venezia Giulia 2015
A red Sauvignon with a lot of structure yet quite versatile and can compliment surf and turf. Delicious.
Arpepe Stella Retica 2015
An elegant nebbiolo with good structure and good tannins. Perfect with pork or red meat. I’ll have another please!
