INTERVIEW: CHEF EDUARDO GARCIA, MAXIMO BISTROT
After spending 27 years in the United States and two deportations, Eduardo Garcia opened Maximo Bistrot in Mexico. "I was meant to come back to my country," he says. He did and is now one of the most celebrated Chefs in Mexico City. Of more than a dozen meals I enjoyed during my week in Mexico City recently my meal at Maximo Bistrot was tops.
It’s been named the best international restaurant by Food & Wine magazine and was named one of the 50 best restaurants in the world.

FILM: THE LIFE OF MFK FISHER
The new documentary, Art of Eating: The Life of MFK Fisher by San Francisco filmmaker Gregory Bezat, celebrates the California gastronomic writer who continues to be a grande dame influencing today’s food revolution. Her seminal book, “The Art of Eating” has had an impact on readers and the culture since its publication in 1954.
With post-film conversation moderated by Celia Sack of Omnivore Books, SF filmmaker Gregory Bezat and Kennedy Friede Golden, the daughter of Fisher.
The film will be shown in October at these theaters with the first showing this Sunday at 1 P.M. and 5 P.M.: Smith Rafael Film Center, Grand Lake Theater, Elmwood Theater, and Alameda Theater. Get your tasty movie Tickets here.
