Chef Francisco Simon, of Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, Forbes Five-Star luxury oceanfront resort, invites you to the inaugural "Taste of Half Moon Bay" event. The event will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025. This exclusive culinary celebration showcases the exceptional talents of local artisans, brewers, distillers and vintners, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Pacific coastline. The evening begins with the resort's signature sunset serenade, where the resident bagpiper plays melodies honoring Scottish heritage as the sun sets over the bluffs. Guests will then enjoy a four-course cliffside dinner on the Ocean Lawn.
The event emphasizes the resort’s dedication to supporting local purveyors and businesses, fostering connections within the vibrant Half Moon Bay community, and highlighting the region's abundant culinary offerings.
Local partners featured at the event include:
- Half Moon Bay Distillery: Offering a welcome Gin and Tonic cocktail with custom gin crafted exclusively for the resort, alongside tastings of their vodka and lavender vodka.
- Half Moon Bay Brewing Company: Presenting an array of locally brewed beers, personally introduced by CEO Craig Carroll.
- Brisa Branch Ranch, Pescadero: Providing fresh, locally sourced ingredients featured prominently on the dinner menu.
- Beauregard Vineyards: Curating exquisite wine pairings to accompany each course.
- Jettywave Distillery: Serving their acclaimed Bourbon Barrel Coffee Liqueur digestif alongside the dessert course.
Tickets are $270 (gratuity included) per person and include welcome libations and a four-course dinner with wine pairings. For zero-proof experiences, mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will be included. Reservations can be made via OpenTable here.
