EVENT: SONOMA FILM SUMMER FEST
Guitar pioneers The Ventures are the focus of the Sonoma International Live and Virtual Film Festival on Saturday at 6 p.m. The screen and cuisine outdoor dinner, film and live music event is at Cornerstone. The film "The Ventures: Stars On Guitars" takes centerstage. Plus an inspired dinner from Top Chef All-Star and Folktable Chef Casey Thompson and music from cult band The Mermen. EAT: ROCK & RYE AT SWEETWATER
Sweetwater Music Hall in the heart of downtown Mill Valley is open again. The music will return in a few weeks with Jackie Green. A new chef is hitting all the high notes at the new restaurant The Rock and Rye at Sweetwater. Chef Rick Hackett is cooking exquisite South American and New Orleans-inspired dishes on an ultra-seasonal menu. The Rock & Rye houses an expansive remodeled and weatherproofed 50-seat outdoor patio and 18-seat indoor classic café adjacent to the iconic 300-capacity North Bay music venue, Sweetwater Music Hall. Go for the music, stay for the food.

Irish rock legends U2 are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the song
DISCOTEQUE penned in 1996 on the album POP, an album dedicated to the the late, great Bill Graham who tragically passed that year . The electronic inspired tune strayed away from the guitar rock edge fans had grown to know U2 for. News of a new U2 world tour is due soon.
