East Bay commuters were in for a rough start Friday morning.
A major collision on the Bay Bridge Friday morning caused a massive backup of traffic onto the bridge from the East Bay.
The crash involved four cars and a bus, leading to the two right lanes being blocked. The three left lanes were kept open to traffic.
Injuries on the Interstate 80 westbound lanes of the bridge east of Yerba Buena Island blocked traffic for at least two hours, according to the KCBS Radio Traffic Leader.
After a few hours, the crash was cleared and all lanes were eventually reopened.
