Police arrested a man on Thursday in connection with a Walnut Creek homicide that took place early Sunday morning.
Jose Casillas-Flores, 22, of Brentwood was arrested by Walnut Creek police during a traffic stop. A handgun and ammunition thought to be involved in the homicide were recovered following a search of his home.
Police received multiple 911 calls after 1 a.m. on July 18 reporting gunfire. When officers arrived at the scene they found four gunshot victims.
One 25-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other three victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment where they are reportedly improving with no life threatening injuries.
The homicide was determined to be an isolated incident.
