Man dies from stabbing in San Jose's 21st homicide of the year

One man is dead after two separate stabbing incidents in San Jose early Sunday morning.

Police said that about 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing reported near Donizetti Court in North San Jose, where a man was suffering from life-threatening wounds. At 7:15 a.m., police announced the unidentified victim has since died.

The death is the city’s 21st homicide of the year.

Shortly beforehand at 1:45 a.m., another stabbing was reported in the 1700 block of Story Road in East San Jose. Police said a man was found with life-threatening injuries, but his condition has since stabilized and is expected to survive.

No suspects have been arrested in either incident, and police have not released any information about motive.
