Crews on Wednesday morning managed to stop forward progress on a vegetation fire burning on a Corte Madera hillside.
The blaze was reported at approximately 8:45 a.m. on the right side of Highway 101 at East Blithedale Ave.
People in homes and businesses within a quarter mile radius from the top of Koch Rd. down to Wildflower Dr. were originally told to evacuate, however that, along with a shelter in place order, has been cancelled.
The three right northbound lanes of Highway 101 have been closed in the region due to the fire response.
The cause and size of the blaze is not yet known.
