
After seven Bay Area counties issued updated guidance requiring masks be worn indoors by everyone over the age of two, despite vaccination status, two San Francisco venues have announced that masks will be required at upcoming shows.
The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and The Independent are among four Bay Area Another Planet Entertainment venues requiring proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the event and now they will require masks as well.
Among shows coming up at the Bill Graham Civic are ones with Zedd, Rise Against and Illenium. Meanwhile, the Greek Theatre in Berkeley strongly advises attendees to wear masks while attending shows there.
Starting in mid-September, New York City will require proof of vaccination for indoor concerts, the first major American city to do so.
