Four male suspects, ages ranging from 18 to 24, were arrested following at least 15 robberies. In a Facebook post, police said the suspects allegedly used guns or knives to threaten the victims before fleeing the scene with the victims' possessions.

During a news conference, an Oakland police commander revealed that investigators connected the crimes because the assailants used similar methods. "These four individuals were terrorizing innocent victims in our city," the commander stated. "Pistol whipping them and robbing them of their personal items."

All of the robberies occurred in East Oakland. Although it wasn't immediately clear how detectives connected the four suspects to the crime, authorities did say a search of each of their homes turned up many of the stolen items.

The identities of all four victims have not yet been announced. Their cases will be presented to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office for charging.

The locations of the robberies are listed on the Oakland Police Department Facebook.
