The first woman was shot Wednesday afternoon while waiting for admission to an All Time Low concert at the theater, which was subsequently canceled. Gunfire was heard in the area near the theater around 2:30 p.m., witnesses told the station, due to a conflict between a car thief and car owner.

Other cars nearby were hit with bullets, and the gunfire caused mass panic in the area.

As the suspects left the scene via car, the woman was shot in the arm. The station reported she is expected to recover.

Then later, early Thursday morning, a second woman was shot just before 12:30 a.m. at the 1400 block of Lakeshore Avenue, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene and blocked off the area, gathered evidence, and towed away a white SUV a few hours later, the station reported.

The woman was given aid at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. She is in grave condition, and her identity is not being disclosed until her next of kin is notified, police said.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
