Oakland police need help to find missing 85-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease

The Oakland Police Department is requesting help from the public to look for a missing 85-year-old man who has Alzheimer's disease.

Alfonzo Arechiga was last seen on Tuesday walking near the intersection of Turner Avenue and Greenbrier Street around 3 p.m., officers said in a release. The family reported that Archiga is unfamiliar with the Oakland area and said he could possibly be near the Lake Chabot Golf Course.

The report described him as a Hispanic/Latino man that is about 5 feet 10 inches and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a tan jacket, navy blue pants and brown shoes, the police said.
