Two Oakland Police officers are recovering after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

Officials said it happened at about 3:30 p.m. at Roberts Ave. and Seminary Ave. near Mills College. The officers were standing outside of their patrol car when they were both hit by a car, police said.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital and are listed in stable condition.

The "officers are reported to be doing well," a news release added.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
