Early morning Oakland triple shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

OAKLAND (KCBS RADIO) – A triple shooting on Wednesday morning in Oakland has left one person dead and two injured.

The shooting occurred around 19th Street and Broadway, just across from the Fox Theater and outside a tapas restaurant at around 1:30 a.m.

Oakland police were still on the scene later Wednesday, blocking off the area where the shooting took place. Authorities confirmed to KCBS Radio that one person was killed, and two other victims are in stable condition.

There are no further details on what happened available.

This was the second homicide incident in the city in just the last three days and this marks the 65th homicide so far this year in Oakland.

Last year at this time there were 72.
