The owner, Rita Warda, posted to Facebook on Monday morning that she is "beyond overjoyed" to be reunited with her pup, "Dezzie."

Warda did not provide any additional details as to how Dezzie was located and returned, but thanked "family, friends, neighbors, Adam's Point community, and everyone else" for helping her find him.

Warda was walking her six-year-old pet last Friday near Park View Terrace and Montecito Avenue about a block from her home when she was approached by someone with a gun, who took her dog. She told KCBS Radio she "got caught off-guard."

Authorities have been investigating the incident since it was reported. When reached for comment by KCBS Radio, Oakland Police did not give an update on the investigation and said they were "unaware" of the animal being recovered.

Meanwhile, another French bulldog stolen in Castro Valley on Saturday remains missing. The family of the dog "Tito" upped the reward for finding him to $5,000 on Monday night. They ask anyone with information to call them at 650-921-6803. Detectives continue to investigate the crime.
