OAKLAND (KCBS Radio) – One person was killed, three others were wounded, in a shooting in Oakland’s Jack London Square neighborhood Tuesday night.
Oakland police said officers responded to reports of a shooting near the Jack London Amtrak station on 2nd Street at around 10:15 p.m.
One shooting victim was found at the scene and taken to an area hospital by paramedics.
Three more people were reported to police to have taken themselves to area hospitals with gunshot wounds. One of those people would later die at the hospital. That person’s identity was not revealed.
The three remaining victims are said to be in stable condition.
A condominium building next to the Amtrak station was hit by at least one bullet. No injuries or damage beyond a broken window and a window curtain with a bullet hole through it were reported.

Police said investigators are still looking into the circumstances and/or motives of the shooting.
No description of the suspect or suspects were given.
