After a year hiatus due to the pandemic, Outside Lands returned to Golden Gate Park with record-setting crowds.
The festival – usually slated for August – was pushed two months back this fall, coinciding with Halloween for the first time ever.

The return of Outside Lands brought an estimated 75,000 each day to Golden Gate Park. There were also new health and safety protocols aimed to keep people safe amidst the pandemic.
KCBS Radio's "Bay Current" attended the festival and captured the experience of concertgoers.
Katie, a Cupertino local, took the festival and holiday combination to a different level. She wore Elton John's famous Dodgers costume that the superstar wore during his iconic performance at Dodgers Stadium in 1975.
"I really like his music, and I needed a good costume to wear," she told Bay Current on Monday. "But I am not a Dodgers fan, just an Elton John fan."

The three-day party also featured its usual food delicacies from vendors around the Bay Area, including a $50 dollar ramen dish from an esteemed local Japanese restaurant, Mensho Tokyo.
One of the most popular acts of the entire weekend was from hip-hop artist "Nelly," who rose to fame in the early 2000s.
He sang "Air Force Ones," his smash hit from twenty years ago which remains a fan favorite to this day.
