SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) –  Hundreds, if not thousands, of spilled tomatoes have caused a massive traffic jam on I-80 near Vacaville on Monday morning.

The California Highway Patrol first reported a crash at 5:47 a.m. involving a big-rig hauling tomatoes that went through the center divide on I-80 near Alamo Drive in Vacaville. Multiple lanes were shut down in both directions.

All eastbound lanes have been reopened as of 10:52 a.m. Westbound lane one remains closed.

Caltrans crews have removed the truck from the center media. Crews remain on the scene cleaning up the tomatoes.
