Police have arrested the suspect seen in a viral video brazenly robbing a San Francisco Walgreens in the Mission District.

The man was caught by authorities on Saturday trying to rob a different pharmacy, located on the 400 block of Haight St., filling a duffel bag with merchandise. Police recovered almost $1,000 worth of stolen cosmetic items from the bag.

Prior to Saturday's arrest police said the suspect, 40-year-old Jean Lugo-Romero, allegedly committed multiple other thefts at a Walgreens on Gough St. over four consecutive days.

One of those robberies was captured on video, where the suspect is seen in plain sight blatantly filling a trash bag with items off the shelf and later biking away while being filmed by another patron and security guard.

Lugo-Romero was booked in San Francisco County Jail for attempted grand theft, entering business with the intent to commit theft, and a warrant for failure to appear on a prior theft case.

"These items that are being taken- there's definitely an illegal after market," Lt. Scott Ryan told KGO. "There's definitely an organized effort in order to get these items and sell them and fence them through out the city, and the state as well as the nation."
