Israel has a new leader.
Naftali Bennett was formally sworn in as that nation's Prime Minister on Sunday, replacing long-time leader Benjamin Netanyahu, which has Palestinians worried.
Mostly young Palestinians and their supporters demonstrated at a rally outside the Israeli Consulate in San Francisco on Sunday, and said they fear that the new Bennett coalition will be even more rightist than under Netanyahu’s 12-year rule.

Diala Sha Perez helped organize the peaceful event. She said her people are concerned about the change in the Israeli government.
“So we are kind of apprehensively waiting to see what will happen, but we do expect more violence waged against Palestinians with the transition to the new PM,” she said.
She said Israeli oppression has been constant.
“There have been more and more land grabs currently," Perez said. "Here are systematic expulsions happening all over Jerusalem and…people being forced out of their homes.”
The event also supported the Colombian people, whose consulate shares the same building with the Israelis.
