The Oakland location will be Raising Cane's 73rd in California and the location will be at 8430 Edgewater Drive, which is about a five minute drive from the Oakland Coliseum. It will feature a drive-through and an outdoor patio.

The popular chain restaurant began opening stores in Northern California in 2021 with locations in the greater Sacramento area.

A Berkeley location is also set to open at 2580 Bancroft Way and a Hayward one at 26231 Mission Blvd., both slated to open in 2023.

The closest Raising Cane's to the Bay Area had been a newly-opened Vacaville location. Now Bay Area residents won't have to make as much of a trek to get those chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast & Cane's sauce.
