James "does not frequent any particular areas," police added.

"We're not releasing (her) license plate number at this time," Public Information Officer Robert Rueca told KCBS Radio on Monday. It was not immediately clear where James is from nor the circumstances behind her disappearance. Police don't have a description of clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance, Rueca said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
