SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – San Jose police are investigating a fatal solo car crash on Friday night, the city's 38 fatal collision in 2022.

Officers responded to a car crash near Aborn Road and Brigadoon Way, police said. A man was driving a 2004 black Honda sedan and was heading westbound on Aborn Road. The car steered off the road and hit a light pole at 11:47 p.m.
The driver was reported dead at the scene, authorities said.
This is the city's 38th fatal collision and the 40th traffic death of 2022.
The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office will confirm the man's identity after his family is notified.
