San Jose's police officers union came to an agreement with the city just under the wire on Friday regarding the dozens of officers who have declined to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
The city's deadline for city employees to provide proof of full vaccination or face suspension and possibly termination passed on Thursday, and still several police officers were refusing to get vaccinated.

Now, the 150 officers who have chosen not to be vaccinated will be required to submit to a COVID-19 test twice a week, according to KNTV.
They will at some point within the next month also have to serve a 40-hour unpaid suspension, according to a spokesperson for the San Jose Police Officers Association.
When those officers return from suspension, they will still need to test twice weekly.
