San Pablo police release footage of drive-by shooting in search for suspects

San Pablo police are looking for a vehicle connected to an apparent drive-by shooting earlier this summer.

The San Pablo Police Department on Friday released surveillance footage from July 1 of a car pulling up alongside another on the 3500 block of San Pablo Dam Road. In the video, the suspects' car then abruptly stopped, while a passenger in the backseat shot at the other car's windshield.

The victim, whom the department said "sustained serious injuries but survived," then sped away. Officers responded to reports of a shooting soon after at 4:42 p.m.

The department said the vehicle they're looking for had multiple people inside of it. The car is a black, "late-model" Honda Crosstour, according to police. Honda manufactured the vehicle between 2010 and 2015.

Police didn't release any other information about the suspects, hoping Friday's footage leads to identification of them or their vehicle. The department said anyone with information can anonymously call 510-215-3150.
