
Seven people have displaced by a fire at a two-story building near San Jose State on Wednesday.
The blaze erupted at a residential structure on the 300 block of E. Williams St. and occurred on the second floor of the multi family dwelling, according to fire officials. The fire was reported at 3:10 p.m.
Crews knocked down the fire at 3:35 p.m. and contained it at 3:55 p.m.
Two of the six units in the building suffered significant damage while the others had the others had water and smoke damage, officials added.
No injuries were reported.
The Red Cross assisted seven adults who were displaced due to the flames.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
