SF makes Golden Gate Park's gardens free to visit for low-income families

San Francisco's Economic Recovery Task Force is responsible for a new initiative that benefits low-income families.

Mayor London Breed said in a statement that everyone should have access to the "art and cultural institutions that [San Francisco] has to offer," and now several of Golden Gate Park's scenic areas are now free for low-income families.


For San Francisco residents you can show the following to gain free access for four people with the following:
- EBT Card
- Show proof of CalFresh benefits
- Shown proof of MediCal enrollment

For non-residents, you can gain access for four with:
- EBT Card
- CalFresh or SNAP benefits

Four tickets can typically cost up to $38 for each of the areas.
