
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – A high rise building in San Francisco is under a shelter in place due to falling glass from windows damaged in powerful wind.

San Francisco Fire Department Captain Jonathan Baxter told KCBS Radio they have closed 500 and 600 blocks of California Street as well as the 500 block of Kearny Street, as authorities are concerned for the wellbeing of passersby.
The former Bank of America building at 555 California St. is under a shelter in place order due to shattered glass. The winds are up to 70 miles per hour, breaking the windows of the high rise. The building is 52 stories tall and all occupants have been told to stay inside to avoid getting hurt.
So far, there are no reported injuries.
