San Francisco police investigate third fatal shooting within 24 hours

San Francisco police are investigating three separate, fatal shootings that happened within 24-hours of each other.

A shooting Friday evening and two shootings Saturday killed three people and injured one more, according to authorities.

On Friday at about 6:39 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the area of Vienna Street and Persia Avenue and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, officials said. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance, where he died of his injuries, according to police.

After an investigation, authorities said the SFPD Homicide Detail arrested a 17-year-old suspect, who was admitted to the Juvenile Justice Center and charged with murder.

On Saturday at about 10 a.m., officers responded to the area of 25th and Connecticut Streets and found a man in his 50s who had been shot, according to police. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance, where he later died.

Then at about 12:25 p.m. Saturday, police in the Potrero Hill area found two men suffering from gunshot wounds on Dakota Street. Both victims were taken to a local hospital. Authorities said one has died and the other remains in life threatening condition.
