San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help locating a 97-year-old man who went missing Saturday morning.

Antonio "Tony" Rodriguez left a hotel on Gateway Blvd. in South San Francisco at around 6:15 a.m., officials said. He was last seen getting into a cab outside of the building.


Rodriguez is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall with white hair and brown eyes, weighing 160 pounds. He is believed to be wearing yellow pants and an orange-brown vest with a gray sweater.

Police are on high alert searching for the 97-year-old as he suffers from dementia and struggles with disorientation.

Anyone who might have seen Rodriguez is asked to contact 650-877-8900.

KCBS Radio has reached out to police regarding Rodriguez's disappearance, but has not yet heard back.
