SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – The San Francisco Fire Department rescued two people in distress in the water from separate incidents along the Embarcadero on Friday.

Firefighters reported to pier 38 to rescue a man in distress in the water at around 10:21 a.m., the San Francisco Fire Department told KCBS Radio. He was rescued by a fireboat and treated by Fire Department Medics, the fire department tweeted. He was then transported to a local emergency room and is in stable condition.

At 1:02 p.m. the fire department responded to a woman in the water along the wall of the Embarcadero at Pier 14, the fire department said. First responders did a ladder rescue and then took her to a local hospital where she is in stable condition, the department tweeted.
