
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Beachgoers were in for a surprise over the weekend at a beach in Santa Cruz County.

A single-engine plane had to make an emergency landing on Saturday at Manresa State Beach near Watsonville, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Cessna C172 made the forced landing around 4 p.m. Despite the circumstances, the three people on board were not injured. So far the passengers have not been identified.
No bystanders were injured in the incident either.
The FAA is investigating the landing.
The plane is a fixed-wing single-engine aircraft registered to the Cardinal Flying Corporation, which is located in San Jose, according to the FAA website.
