Officers reported to the scene at 6:15 a.m. at River Road east of Olivet Road near the Martinelli Vineyards and Winery in Windsor.

Santa Rosa California Highway Patrol told KCBS Radio that a Chevrolet suburban was at a stop sign waiting to turn left into a driveway when a Subaru Outback came up behind and rear-ended the Chevrolet. The impact swung the Subaru into the opposing lane and was hit by the Sonoma County Transit bus. The bus hit the backside of the Subaru and drove off the road and overturned on its side into a ditch.

The bus did not have any passengers in it but the driver had mild injuries from the crash. The driver of the Subaru, the 18-month-old baby, the Chevrolet driver and the bus driver were all taken to the hospital to be treated with mild injured, officers said.

The road was cleared at 10:30 a.m. but the bus was still there waiting for a tow when California Highway Patrol left the scene.
