The announced lineup matches the artists named on advertisements which were mistakenly released on San Francisco buses as early as April 22.

The festival kicks off on June 12 with performances from two Oakland music icons: R&B and funk band Tower of Power and rapper Too $hort. The two legendary Bay Area artists were slated to close last year’s festival, however water flooding at the grove forced organizers to cancel the summer's final concert. Officials said that while not all renovations are complete in the area, the original site has been approved for audiences again.

"We are excited to highlight so many legendary Bay Area artists in our 85th season and also to continue our trend in recent years of presenting more and more high profile artists at Stern Grove Festival. From my perspective, this is our best lineup ever, and we truly hope that everyone can find at least one artist that appeals to them over the course of our summer season," Executive Director Bob Fiedler said.

The complete schedule of concert dates and artist for the ten-week series can be found below:

June 12: Tower of Power, Too $hort

The performances will also be live-streamed online for those unable to attend in-person.
