Thieves allegedly stole thousands of dollars of merchandise from a jewelry store in San Francisco's Richmond District on Monday, according to the store's owner and police.
Phyllis Nabhan, owner of Gaslight and Shadows Antiques on Clement Street, told KTVU the suspects took more than $12,000 worth of merchandise, including a "whole case" of watches, two cases of jewelry, rubies, emeralds, a Tiffany glass lamp and her laptop.

According to the owner, authorities suspected that the alleged thieves cased the store on Friday, when Nabhan noted the business' motion sensor was going off frequently. She assumed it was triggered by a short, however police told her the suspects "were probably jiggling your door to set off the alarm to see and then they were parked down the street to see the police response time."
"It could have happened to any store and it has. It's happened to all the stores along Clement," Nabhan told the outlet.
The San Francisco Police Department told KCBS Radio in an emailed statement on Wednesday afternoon that a window to the business had been "broken out." Police said the store was closed and secured the day before the robbery was reported.
Nabhan asked anybody with information to contact San Francisco police. The department said in a statement that anyone with information can call its tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 by beginning the message with "SFPD."
