A Healdsburg woman decorated her home for the holidays only to have it vandalized, finding her decorations in shreds and some missing.

Katrina Davis had no idea why someone would cut up all of her inflatables and tear down her lights. She told KCBS Radio that when she saw the damage she "had a little breakdown in my driveway."

She then posted live on Facebook about what she saw.

After seeing her post the community rallied and she began receiving gifts of decorations to replace the ones that had been destroyed, some from people’s own front yards.

The owners of the local Garret Ace Hardware store took the two inflatables off of their roof to give to Davis, despite never having met in person. The outpouring of support meant a lot to Davis because she’d decided to decorate more than usual this year after recently losing her best friend to cancer.

"It’s gonna be a tough Christmas without her. So I know it’s silly but it does make it better. It does," said Davis.

Davis has put up all the new decorations, including an inflatable dinosaur, Santa Claus and some reindeer.
