Three arrested for burglary of Castro Theatre

Three men have been arrested after an attempted burglary at the Castro Threatre Tuesday morning.

At approximately 6:34 a.m., San Francisco police were patrolling the Castro District when they saw a man inside the Castro Theatre. According to officers, there was also broken glass on the front door of the theater, which indicated forced entry.

Police detained the man while a second group of officers conducted a search of the building. They found and detained two more men inside the theater, as well as tools suspected to be used in the burglary.

All three men were arrested for burglary and transported to San Francisco County Jail. They have been identified as Gary Marx, 38, Nicholas Degrego, 25, and Jason Kilbourne, 32. Degrego was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia while Kilbourne was charged with violation of his probation.
