
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Vallejo police fatally shot a person reportedly armed with a knife Sunday evening during a traffic-related call, according to the Solano County Sheriff's Office.

Solano sheriff deputies were called to assist with Vallejo police officers just before 7 p.m., said a series of tweets posted by the Solano County Sheriff's Office.
The call was originally about a traffic accident that had been reported at Pennsylvania and Sutter Streets in Vallejo.
Shortly after sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, the person was shot and killed by police.
The area was closed off while the scene was investigated and just reopened again to traffic around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.
The identity of the person killed has not yet been released.
