Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle suspected in a deadly hit-and-run on Treasure Island last week.
The incident happened at 9:32 p.m. at Treasure Island Rd. and Macalla Rd. on Thursday, San Francisco police said. Officers patrolling the area found a man down in the roadway.
He was treated, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity and age have not yet been released.
Investigators believe the man died as a result of a hit-and-run, pointing to what’s thought to be a 2012-2016 Chevrolet Impala seen in the area at the time. The vehicle would likely have some front-end damage, police added.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, has video or photos of the suspect vehicle or the suspect – or anything they believe will help identify the suspect or suspect vehicle – are asked to call 415-575-4444 or text TIP411.
