The San Francisco Police Department has released video of an assault last month on a Muni bus where a woman's hair was lit on fire.
Police are seeking the public's help to identify the victim.
Officials said the incident occurred on the afternoon of May 2, on the #5 bus at McAllister St. and Leavenworth St.
The suspect, identified as a Black teenage male wearing red pants and a red top, can be seen reaching his arm out while holding what appears to be a lighter and extending it towards the back of the suspect's head.
Police said that afterwards he fled with two acquaintances.
The victim left the scene before police arrived.
Investigators are asking the victim to come forward and provide a statement.
Police describe the victim as a 50-to-60-year-old woman of Filipino or Latin descent with dark hair.
Police are asking anyone with information about the attack to call an anonymous tip line at 1-415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
