Walnut Creek police seek public's help in finding missing 8-year-old boy

Update: The boy has been found.

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Walnut Creek police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing eight-year-old boy.

Jonus Simon – described by authorities as a Black male, 4 feet 3 inches tall and 70 pounds – was last wearing a "red shirt with black speckles, black or grey shorts, no shoes, possibly carrying a frisbee," police said.

He was last seen leaving his home in the 2700 block of Oak Road at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Anyone with information that can help safely locate the boy is asked to call Walnut Creek police at 925-935-6400.
