Southern winds are pushing the smoke from the Willow Fire northward towards the Bay Area, the National Weather Service says.
According to Purple Air, air quality throughout most of the Bay Area remains satisfactory, with the exception of some regions around the Los Altos Hills whose air quality has slipped to slightly moderate.
It’s unclear if this was caused by the Willow Fire.
The National Weather Service said that the smoke should remain elevated and is not expected to impact those on the ground.
The blaze originally broke out Thursday in the Los Padres National Forest in Monterey County and has charred nearly 2,400 acres with no containment.
