Winds topping 90 miles per hour have left a path of destruction in the Bay Area Saturday morning, toppling trees, closing roads and causing widespread power outages.
According to CAL FIRE officials, multiple calls of downed trees were reported Friday night into Saturday morning as residents felt the effects of a High Wind Warning.

In Oakland, two cars were crushed after a massive tree fell at 62nd and Hillegrass Ave., the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Fairfield police are asking Solano County residents to avoid Airbase Parkway between Dover Ave. and Clay Bank Rd. due to multiple downed trees. The roadway is expected to be closed for several hours as crews work to clear the debris.
A house was damaged in Montara after a tree fell onto the roof, prompting the owners to evacuate. Power has been shut off to the home, CAL FIRE reported.

The fallen trees are due to strong offshore winds that rattled the Bay Area overnight. A gust in the Healdsburg Hills was recorded at a staggering 96 mph, Oakland Hills measured 60 mph and Sonoma Mountain reached 54 mph.
The High Wind Warning issued Friday for the North Bay mountains has been extended to 4 p.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service reported Saturday morning.
