After a report from late last year that wine prices were rising in the U.S., Aldi is now rolling out a new batch of affordable bottles. For a little under $5, consumers will be able to enjoy the California Heritage Collection.

According to USA Today, Aldi – a German company with U.S. headquarters located in Batavia, Ill. – rolled out this new collection sourced from California vineyards last week. It is expected to be available year-round, and offers wine at a price point between the less expensive Winking Owl label and the slightly more expensive Specially Selected Wine collection.

“Whether it's the perfect expression of what Napa Valley has to offer, or an ancestral vineyard nestled in the south of France, the Specially Selected Wine Collection gives consumers a premium tasting experience without the added costs,” said Director of National Buying, Arlin Zajmi when that collection was announced last September.

An Axios staffer tried out four of the new California Heritage wines with Aldi food pairings selected by Zajmi: sparkling brut, chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon. Here’s a rundown of their thoughts:

Sparkling brut – Nice aroma, but sweet and possibly good for mimosas. Zajmi paired with dark chocolate.

Chardonnay – Well-balanced, peachy and buttery. Zajmi paired with sharp English cheddar cheese.

Pinot noir Light with smoky notes. Zajmi paired with Manchego cheese.

Cabernet sauvignon – Blackberry and tobacco aroma and a jammy finish. Zajmi paired with mesquite barbecue kettle chips.

Axios said any of the wines could serve as “an everyday table wine.”

Per USA Today, the full roster of California Heritage wines includes:
