Those empty Bed Bath & Beyond stores aren’t going to stay empty for very long.

CNN is reporting that many locations of the former big box stores are being converted into indoor pickleball courts.

A group called Pickleball America is beginning the takeover at an 80,000 square-foot anchor space in Stamford, Connecticut, in a former two-story Saks Off 5th retail store this summer.

It will soon become one of the largest indoor pickleball venues in the United States

Pickleball is the fastest growing recreational sport in America.

According to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, the number of people playing pickleball grew by 159% over three years to 8.9 million in 2022.
