Jeff Bezos is one of the richest men in the world and his name is nearly synonymous with success. However, reactions to a recent Vogue photo shoot revealed that even billions of dollars can’t save him from internet trolls.

Included in the comments were suggestions that Bezos’ biceps were photoshopped. This made the team here at “Something Offbeat” interested in male body image, how its shaped by the internet and why we don’t seem to address it as much as female body image.

Registered Dietician Nutritionist Aaron Flores, host to the “Men Unscripted” podcast, joined the show to help break it all down.

“The first thing I thought of is like – of course this is happening,” said Flores. “I’m not surprised at all that they’re judging someone’s body online and making some assumptions and comments.”

Each week, “Something Offbeat” takes a deeper look at an unusual headline. If you have suggestions for stories the podcast should cover, send them to us at somethingoffbeat@audacy.com.
